Medfibers attended the International Dental Show (IDS) 2025 in Cologne from 16 to 20 March. Five days in the dental-laser corridor, not a walk-by of the halls — diode OEMs, private-label buyers and distributors who already sell into Europe.
The stand carried the range a dental console actually asks for: dental laser tips (initiated, tapered, side-firing), bare fiber for chairside delivery, and the pouch / IFU pack a private-label programme needs before a 20-piece sample leaves Koelnmesse. SMA-905 mating sat on the table, not in a PDF.
Who stopped at the stand
Questions were connector, core, sterile flag and whether the tip geometry on their existing 810 / 940 / 980 nm console can be cloned without a drawing freeze. Soft-tissue dentistry, periodontal and endodontic trays, and a handful of whitening handpieces. Two diode OEM programmes booked a sample carton before the last hall closed.
IDS is not a beauty fair. It is the one week in the calendar where dental laser buyers are in the same aisle, with a console serial number and a pouch artwork file on a laptop. We brought physical SKUs.
